What a clinical experience costs
The administration fee
One fee, paid in installments.

If plans change
- If you withdraw, for any reason, the deposit is not refundable.
- If the facility or Eduglobal withdraws your placement and we cannot offer you a similar one, you get everything you have paid back.
- Any other refund is at Eduglobal's discretion. Talk to us; we will always look at your situation.
Planning further ahead
For the 2028 cycle the fee is $2,200 in Italy and Luxembourg and $5,200 in Switzerland, paid in the same installments.
A cost letter for financial aid
If your school's financial aid office needs a letter setting out what your placement costs, it's in your student portal once your placement is confirmed: signed, for your site and dates, ready to download.
What the fee covers

Included in the fee
- Travel health insurance
- Professional and general liability insurance
- Training and continuing education for your clinical instructor
- Our help finding somewhere to stay, from people who know these towns well
- A NAIOMT course discount code
- Free language resources, including vocabulary lists and study guidance
Not included
- Flights
- Housing, which you agree directly with whoever you stay with
- Food and day-to-day living
- A car, at the sites where one is recommended
- The Italian workplace safety course, at the Italian sites that require it
- Any insurance your own school requires beyond ours (requirements vary by school)
The Italian workplace safety course is EUR 185 plus 22% VAT (EUR 225.70), paid to our training partner, Phisiovit. We'll tell you whether your site needs it and walk you through registering.
Site by site
What to budget at each site.
Housing is an estimate of what a room or small flat costs a student in that town each month. Flights are typical return economy fares. The estimated total is for a 10-week placement and covers the administration fee, housing, a car where the site recommends one, the safety course at Italian sites, and a mid-range fare from New York. Food and day-to-day living are not included. Every town is different, so we'll talk it through with you once you know where you're going.
